A Matter of National Security

We have recently been overrun by a new movement lead by what we have come to call the birthers. For those of you that have been under a rock these people are the ones questioning Barack Hussein Obama’s birth certificate and its legitimacy. As we are all aware it is a constitutional requirement for our presidents to be natural born citizens. I want to clear up any questions now by saying I fully support this requirement. I am all about one’s ability to become a citizen of this great nation but I feel the leader of this nation should not be imported like everything else around us these days. It is too important of a role for convert. That is my opinion and it will not be changed.

I feel that this is an important question that needs to be unquestionably resolved immediately. There should be no sequestered documents that are sealed for years. We need an answer now. There is plenty of evidence to raise the question. We have a question on his college application that points towards citizenship issues. We have a passport application that is questionable in his place of origin and most recently we have the most obvious forgery of a Hawaiian birth certificate that any common Microsoft draw program can show you the layers of is manufacture.

So there is the issue and here is the question. What happens if it is proven the Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen? What charges would be brought against him? How else would pay for such misleadings? What would happen to the other people involved in such a massive cover up? The most important question in my mind is what happens to all the legislation he has signed? It would have been enacted under false pretense. Would it be stricken from the record? I am certain that Joe Biden would try to emerge as the hero and distance himself from the largest scandal of our entire national history. Would Biden scramble to re-pass all the laws that had been signed by his unqualified predecessor?

I feel that this is the most important piece of current U.S. national government. This administration has been the most controversial in a century. Legislation has been passed by questionable means so what would we do if those situations were further put into question by the disqualification of the president. We need to look at these issues closely. It makes no difference which side you are on. If you are pro-Bama you should still see that we need an answer if for no other reason than to protect the sanctity of the office. If you are no-Bama then you should be standing on the tallest hill yelling for an answer immediately. This is a bipartisan issue if we have ever seen one. It is not a democrat v. republican issue. It is a matter of national security. Please do not be blinded by your own personal feelings. I heard many people vote for their first time because they wanted to be part of history. If you want to be part of history then you need to be asking for a resolution to this question.

  1. Ronnie Whitley had some questions for the government. They were urgent, and he wasn’t the only one asking.

Where is the birth certificate? What’s up with this error on this one college enrollment forms? Why are we paying attention to other, perhaps more pressing, issues? Mr. Whitley stressed that the President’s production of his birth certificate was a matter of national security, that it should be addressed post haste, and that we were possibly on the brink of “the largest scandal of our entire national history.” In fact, he went so far as to demand that we ask for a resolution of the question if we really wanted “to be a part of history.”

The possibilities were endless. If it was true that Barack Obama was not a natural born citizen, what would happen to Obamacare? Would it be rendered irrelevant? Would Joe Biden support his “unqualified predecessor”?

And then, the President released the birth certificate. And with it, he released the worried Whitley and so many others of this heavy burden. Certainly, we can all sleep the most wonderful sleep now. After all, “the most important piece of current U.S. national government” has been settled, quickly and painlessly, and nobody with any credit is arguing with the product.

Hopefully, we can move forward now, hand-in-hand, Probamas and Nobamas, all one, our enemies dead, and our fears allayed.

With all due respect, this was a weak issue; it seemed to prove very little and waste so much valuable time. One can only hope that these types of inquiries will not become commonplace in this new fundamental conservative movement. Such poor choices and paper-thin claims will only continue to weaken its momentum. And if this administration is truly “the most controversial in a century,” it shouldn’t be long before someone sees another wolf. Hopefully, it will actually be there next time.

  2. This is a critique of Matter of national security. The editorial in question is undoubtedly aimed at right wing “Tea-baggers.” The lack of any relevant argument other than conjecture and is only eclipsed by the lack of links to support his argument. The whole editorial appears to be wishful thinking. The President having to have been born in the US is a constitutional requirement, not exactly something you can choose to disregard. There is a good point that Ronnie makes: transparency in records. If a person wants to hold political office, especially the Presidential office, then all details should be completely public. Not that this would change our perception of politicians. We are too forgetful as a country. If some politician makes an error in judgment or is made to look foolish in public, wait 6 months or a year and the media will have “forgotten” the incident. The truth is that the Republicans are attempting to throw the kitchen sink at President Obama. Anything to keep him from being re-elected. Hopefully we are not so shallow of a populace to be so easily mislead.

What question needs to be resolved? What difference would it make? Quoted from the editorial: “I am certain that Joe Biden would try to emerge as the hero and distance himself from the largest scandal of our entire national history.” Ronnie is attempting to do what Fox news does and declare President Obama guilty with out any facts to back it up. The election is over and Republicans need to find a new flag to wave. Chasing windmills is obfuscating the real issue here. We have a government that is so bogged down with bipartisanship that rational choices are compromised for emotional choices. John Boehner is attempting to negotiate the debt ceiling for no tax increases. We have to increase spending and taxes to continue to climb out of the economic hole we are in.
